- False. I have read the FAQ.

- The FAQ also directs the reader to the ISO web site, which is, if memory serves
- me, http://www.iso.ch/. This is where I went, and learned about the price codes
- for various documents and the location of an ISO representative in my country.
- The web server only tells you what price code governs the particular document
- you are looking for; the actual price depends on which representative you
- obtain it from.
-
- What makes you think that just because I don't settle for the cheapie $40
- McGraw Hill knock off with missing pages, I must not have read the FAQ?
- If I rip out the pages containing erroneous annotations, will the book store
- give me a further discount? :)

-
- The Rationale is good, but it makes references which are meaningful if you
- can follow them into the actual standard.
-
- I've thought about going after that annotated book, but who wants something
- that has pages missing from the standard, and contains some incorrect
- annotations? It doesn't sound like the kind of Bible I would like to have on my
- bookshelf.
-
- For the time being, I will stick with the good old K&R and its appendices, plus
- the text of the Rationale. Until I get the Real Thing (TM). While I'm at it, I
- might as well get my hands on POSIX. :)
